Polenastics Ltd was originally established in 2003 by Emily Hill at the Woughton Leisure Centre in Milton Keynes. Nameless at the time the Polenastics classes were just 'Pole Fitness' classes, and were the first and only pole fitness classes running in Buckinghamshire England until 2006. Pole fitness and dance classes originally ran in 6 week pre pay block bookings and then PAYG options were added.

In 2006 Pippa Caesar joined Emily's pole fitness classes as a pole fitness and dance student. During 2006 some students of Emily's pole fitness classes, set up in competition and began running their own pole dance classes in the local area. These pole schools were MK Pole Fitness run by Hannah and Sugar Pole Ftness run by Mari.

In 2007, Pippa Caesar joined Emilys Vertical Art pole fitness and dance classes as marketing manager and the school was given its name, Emily's Vertical Fitness. The team began marketing classes directly, as previously all marketing had been managed by The Woughton Centre. In March 2008 EmilysVerticalArt.co.uk was populated.

In 2008, Emilys Vertical Art branched out into more areas with the pole fitness and dance classes. Wayne Armstrongs Boxing Gym in Hitchin, Frantic-Uk dance studio in Wolverton and Pink Punters in Bletchley began hosting pole classes with more venues being added. In September 2008 another school was set up by an ex pupil of Emily's Ascent-Trix by Sam Amey Ascent-Trix.

In November 2008, Pippa Caesar qualified with www.polepassion.com to teach pole fitness and begun teaching pole fitness classes for Emily Hill.
